Cyprus presidency of the Council of the EU 2026
The insights and meet ups of the necessary measures and work accomplished by the Cyprus Government the last few months through holding the position of the leading team guiding the Council of the EU through main and necessary governance goals has come to an end.
The main problematics and solutions will be categorised and revised for the European leaders to discuss and find new pathways amongst the European nations on the next two days on the summit of the Council of the EU. The main goal though needs to be not only the Multiannual financial framework which will be mainly discussed but also the geopolitical role the European Union will have through the legal rulements, lawmakers' guidelines, political decisions and governcance agenda.
The real value of the EU governance could be found not necessarily in the geopolitical role alone but in combination of the mutual European path which can be build through collaboration of EU leadeships and civilians' organisations.
The European presidency of the Council of the EU plays a crucial role on this mutual path of the EU governance and political agenda which will guide the next few years to come or even the next decade of the European policy.
A main goal of course for every European Government is to hold strong to the political role and it's values implied across Europe but second but not least is to hold together the values of governance of each nation as such, so it can be free from any political burden that could hold it back or accountable for lack of enforcement of european policies, rulements or guidelines.
Politics, law and governance as a combined necessity nowadays can either lift any nation as a main player on the global political field or hold it back for decades. The choice depends from each and everyone that has a voice as a free citizen or as a human individual who want to be part of a democratic society nationwide, but also in a European and for sure on a global level.
